A few years ago, Good To-Go applied for funds from MTI’s $45 million MTAF2.0. At the time, the Kittery-based company was experiencing a bottleneck in their production of gourmet dehydrated meals. The $150K they received from MTI helped fund a new 800 square foot mixing and packaging room and the purchase of a semi-automatic packing machine — allowing them to triple their packing capacity and sparking the company’s growth.

“We’ve been steadily growing year over year,” said co-founder and chef, Jennifer Scism. “The packaging room was instrumental in this growth.” While the pandemic has created challenges for some of their customers and retail partners, Good To-Go’s revenue continues to increase, a result of the surge of participation in outdoor activities such as hiking and the company’s expanded production capacity.

Now, Good To-Go is starting to think about their next expansion, as demand continues to increase. With the business growing since receiving their MTAF2.0 award, Scism and the Good To-Go team are grateful for the assistance from MTI and Maine’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. “The Maine business community has been very supportive of Good To-Go which we greatly appreciate.”
