On occasion, the State of Maine tasks MTI with administering targeted funding programs on its behalf. The following initiatives are currently under active management by MTI.

PRIME Fund Phase 2

The application portal for PRIME Fund Phase 1 CLOSED at midnight on May 24, 2022 and award announcements were made during the last week of July, 2022. The application portal for PRIME Phase 2 (PRIME 2) opens July 17, 2024 and will close on August 30, 2024.

Electric Grid Upgrade Program (EGUP) 

Funding projects to build or improve electric grid infrastructure.

Prime Ecosystem 

Funding for the development of programs that directly address negative economic impacts of the pandemic

Forestry Recovery Initiative 

Pandemic relief to small businesses in the Maine Forestry industry.

Seafood Dealer and Processor Program 

Pandemic recovery funding for Maine’s wholesale seafood dealer and processor industry.
