What does the future hold? During Governor Mills’ campaign, there was a clear focus on climate change initiatives, growing clean energy resources, and strategic electrification of the transportation sector, among other related goals. With Governor Mills’ new administration, leadership transitions in the Department of Environmental Protection, a potential cabinet-level Energy Office, and a variety of new policymakers in the Legislature, we will experience a transformation of environmental and energy initiatives here in Maine.
