Recognizing the vital role that Maine’s community banks play in helping Maine small businesses succeed, Maine Technology Institute (MTI) has launched a campaign working with community banks across the state to help identify, fund, and grow promising local technology and innovation-based businesses. MTI will kick off the campaign by initially partnering with three Maine community banks to hold workshops on funding options available to small businesses.

“Both MTI and Maine community banks pursue missions assisting in the growth of businesses, creating and retaining Maine jobs, as well as strengthening Maine’s economy” said Catherine Marin, Business Innovation Specialist at MTI. “We look forward to working with the community banks to help Maine businesses grow through investments in technology and innovation.”
