Maine Technology Institute Announces Its Annual Showcase of Some of Maine’s Most Successful Technology-Based Companies

The Maine Technology Institute announces its annual mixer – a showcase of over 40 MTI portfolio companies who have successfully brought their products or services to markets around the world.  The showcase will be held at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston on Wednesday, October 17 from 5-7:30pm. There is no charge but registration is required.

“If you are an investor, entrepreneur or interested in the results of Maine’s investments in technology-based companies, this is an opportunity you cannot afford to miss,” said Robert A. Martin, President of The Maine Technology Institute. This is a chance to meet successful entrepreneurs, explore their technologies and enjoy an evening of networking,” said Martin. “This year, we are delighted to host several honored guests including Governor Paul LePage, David Kappos, U.S. Undersecretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the US Patent and Trademark Office, and Desh Deshpande, well-known venture capitalist and entrepreneur and founder of Chelmsford, MA based internet equipment manufacturer Sycamore Networks. This promises to be an energizing and inspiring evening. ”

Among the 40 companies featured will be Sea and Reef Aquaculture from Franklin, Fluid Imaging Technologies from Yarmouth, Biovation from Boothbay, Falcon Performance Footwear from Auburn, Ocean Renewable Power Company from Portland and Eastport, Pika Energy from Gorham, Abierto Networks from Eliot, CashStar from Portland, Advance Electronic Concepts from Portland.
