MTI’s Innovation Ecosystem Development Program (IEDP) funds mission-based organizations whose programs help Maine’s innovation-driven companies form, grow, and scale. While most MTI funding goes directly to those innovation-driven companies, MTI utilizes IEDP funds to invest in the organizations that build capacity to help Maine’s innovators thrive.
IEDP’s goal is to strengthen the pipeline and the quality of Maine’s innovation-driven enterprises whose innovations meet MTI’s Business Innovation Funding eligibility criteria across Maine’s seven targeted technology sectors.
A strong IEDP proposal can include programming that spurs new company formation and / or helps existing companies grow and scale.
Is IEDP a good fit for you?
IEDP funds organizations whose work helps Maine’s innovation-driven companies form, grow, and scale — whether by working with those companies directly or by strengthening the ecosystem they depend upon. Both new and established organizations are welcome to apply, and organizations based beyond Maine’s borders may apply as long as the funded work occurs in Maine and benefits Maine-based companies.
