Fall at MTI: New Resources and Ways to Connect

We are well into autumn and fall activities, we have cooler nights and shorter days, but the foliage is brilliant this year.
We are delighted to announce we’ve launched the MERC Maine Consultant Directory, which you can find on our website. This directory provides Maine businesses with a searchable database of vetted Maine-based consultants ready to support short-term projects and business needs. The directory was years in the making, and Emily Braley, MTI’s MERC Manager, will be offering a more in-depth look at how and why the directory was developed in a future newsletter. For now, we hope you check out this new resource.
Last week, we had our fall networking event on October 7th as part of Maine Forest Biomaterials Week at the University of Maine in Orono. We want to thank all of you who made the effort to join us for this unique event which brought together industry, researchers, and partners to learn more about Maine’s Tech Hub and the recently awarded federal funding through the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA).
Coming up on October 29th, in collaboration with the Roux Institute, we are pleased to present a Founders Forum for MTI’s Life Sciences Companies. The event runs from 11:30A-6P at the Roux in Portland and is open to the public. Whether you’re just getting started or scaling toward your next milestone, this forum is a chance to see yourself as part of a real, connected Maine life sciences community. Join fellow founders, investors, mentors, and program leaders for the half-day gathering. More information and registration is available here.
I hope you have all had a chance to be outside enjoying all Maine has to offer in these quieter seasons and look forward to seeing you on October 29 at the Roux.
