The Orono-based startup offers turnkey software that allows educational organizations to post classes, register students and receive payments online. With a development loan from MTI, CourseStorm has been able to further develop their product, tap into new markets and automate their process to improve efficiency.
These advancements are earning them new clients — and new investors — from across the country, all while keeping high-quality jobs and young workers in Maine. Instead of heading down to Boston to search for tech jobs with good benefits, their employees — many of whom are recent University of Maine grads — are finding them right in the Bangor area’s young, vibrant and growing entrepreneurial community.
