MxG: Building Maine’s Innovation Ecosystem

When entrepreneurs and innovators succeed, Maine’s economy thrives. That’s the driving force behind Maine thúc đẩy tăng trưởng (MxG), a unique MTI initiative that has been quietly strengthening Maine’s entrepreneurial ecosystem since 2015.

Initially launched as a funding initiative supporting programs like the Top Gun pitch competition and Innovate for Maine Fellows, MxG has evolved into something even more vital: a dynamic network that connects and energizes Maine’s entire innovation community.

“By connecting organizations who support entrepreneurs throughout the state, MxG strengthens the startup ecosystem,” shared Bobbie Lamont, Membership Chair of Maine Angels. “We are grateful to be part of such a vibrant network.”

The heart of MxG beats strongest during its monthly meetings, held virtually on the third Thursday of each month. These gatherings bring together an impressive cross-section of Maine’s innovation community: entrepreneurial support organizations, economic development agencies, service providers, startups, and investors. Participants share updates, showcase emerging startups, and tackle pressing challenges facing Maine’s entrepreneurs.

What makes MxG particularly special is its commitment to building an inclusive, action-oriented ecosystem. The initiative works to ensure that entrepreneurs across Maine have access to the cultural, financial, technical, and relationship networks they need to scale their innovations and create positive change.
