The University of Maine will have a strong presence at the second annual event in Bangor on Thursday.

(Reprint from Portland Press Herald 9/26/2014) – More than 90 Maine high-tech firms and organizations will showcase their innovations at the Maine Technology Institute’s second annual TechWalk event in Bangor on Thursday.

The exhibition, which is free to the public, is expected to draw roughly 800 attendees, said Scott Burnett, MTI director of marketing and analytics. About 600 attended last year’s inaugural event in Portland.

Exhibitors at this year’s TechWalk, to be held at the Cross Insurance Center, will include CashStar, Fluid Imaging Technologies, Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences and 90 other companies and organizations. There are about 50 percent more exhibitors than at last year’s event, Burnett said.  Read more here.
