JAX gets $11.7M for new center to understand addiction

(Reprint from Mainebiz 8/9/2016) – With drug abuse a prominent and growing problem in Maine, the timing of an $11.7 million federal grant to The Jackson Laboratory couldn’t come at a better time.

The Bar Harbor laboratory will receive $11,714,623 over five years from the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health to fund a new Center for Systems Neurogenetics of Addiction at JAX. Read more aquí.
