Bringing Buck$ to your Business
Growing your business, funding a startup or new product development can be a challenge. On June 27, you will be informed about a selection of resources that are found in our region and some ideas for leveraging different sources of funds for different purposes.
Bill Card, with the U. S. Small Business Administration, will speak about many sources of capital to start or grow your business. Then information from the Small Business Development Center at CEI will be presented about Microloans (up to $50,000) and free technical assistance provided by the Small Business Development Center serving this area.
A presenter form the Maine Technology Institute will speak about MTI’s funding opportunities for innovative businesses. Following that, Jamie Logan, Governor’s Account Executive with the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, will speak about working with state agencies and how to navigate the permitting and licensing process for a small business.
Bill Najpauer, from Mid-Coast Economic Development District (MCEDD), will speak about how MCEDD’s funding programs can help local businesses. Mary Ellen Barneswith Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission will then speak about Federal and State government procurement opportunities. Finally, Lucas McNellywill share his extensive knowledge about Crowdfunding for start-up, growth or new product development.
The event takes place from 5:30 to 8 p.m., June 27, at Downeast School of Massage, 99 Moose Meadow Lane, Waldoboro.
