Application Process Overview

The first step in pursuing an award from Maine Technology Institute is familiarizing yourself with MTI’s funding programs, guidelines and eligibility requirements. After doing so, you may feel free to contact the program manager for any of the funding programs about which you have questions to help you determine your eligibility.

Eligibility requirements:

Applicants need to have an established place of business in the State of Maine or an intention to establish a place of business in Maine by the time of award decision.  All applicants must be able to provide 1:1 match for any award.

The State of Maine has targeted seven technology sectors for investment and other types of support. Projects must fall into one or more of the seven technology sectors.

Review Process:

The review process varies by program, but all applications receive a technical and financial review. Please refer to the individual program pages for review information.
