2008 SBIR/STTR Summer Session
The 2008 SBIR/STTR Summer Session on July 9 hosted 100 attendees and eight federal SBIR/STTR program managers, who gave informative presentations about their individual programs and answered questions from an inquisitive audience. They also provided a full day of one-on-one interviews for attendees. Participants also were able to meet Session sponsors to learn about the broad netework of support and resources for small businesses and Maine.

participants? Learn of opportunities available through the SBIR/STTR program for
technology-based businesses?
To
help with the answers, MTI will host its 2009
Summer Session on SBIR/STTR in July 2009. Look for details here in Spring 2009 and register to attend.
The day-long
overview will include:
- presentations on agency-specific SBIR/STTR programs from different federal
program managers as listed on the flier
- one-on-one meetings with these managers
- workshops on Maine's grant opportunities for SBIR/STTR support, additional
funding for development projects and a seminar on the commercialization of new
technologies.
Advance registration is required via online, e-mail or phone. The
per-person fee is payable by cash or check at the session; lunch and
materials are included.
