MTI Award Recipients in the News Federal Contract Award Winner Relied on MTI Seed Grants for Research and Development of Composite Textile Product
Auburn Manufacturing, Inc. (AMI), of Mechanic Falls announced on January 12, 2009, that it had received two military contracts worth up to $7.8 million over several year for textile for extreme temperature industrial applications. Two MTI Seed Grants supported the research and development. Read the AMI press release that includes a link to television coverage. Separately, AMI commented that the MTI awards also led to unexpected benefits, for example, the next step of composite materials for institutional use to save energy in steam heating and cooling.
MTI Award Recipient Recognized as 'Company to Watch' Quantrix of Portland, recipient of two MTI Development Awards for its financial database program, was selected January 2009 as a "Company to Watch" in the Performance Management category in annual awards for the most influential technology companies impacting smart enterprises by Intelligent Enterprise Magazine.
