Staff Accountant

MTI is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. For this reason, it will be necessary for the prospective candidate to be a point of contact for external auditors.

The prospective candidate will play a strategic role here at MTI by supporting budget development, monitoring processes, and carefully considering system and procedural improvements.

Additional responsibilites will include:

  • Support development of periodic financial reports to the MTI Board and its Finance Committee.
  • Perform reconciliations between accounting software and program database financial records.
  • Take on special projects related to these major job functions, as needed.

The successful candidate for this position must have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, preferably Accounting.
  • Three years of hands-on experience.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and/or Government Accounting Standards Board
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Teamwork Skills

Federal Monitoring and Reporting Experience Preferred

This is a 40 hour week Full-Time Position.
